With great sadness, the Wherstead Park Events and Conferencing business is proposed for closure as of 31 December 2023.
This means we're unable to commit to any new bookings for 2024 or beyond.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that we’ve been fortunate enough to work with over the years, including the wonderful couples who’ve shared their special day with us. We’ve really enjoyed being a part of your events.
We’re still taking bookings for the rest of 2023 and will be running a great programme of public events throughout the year which we’d love for you to join us for – check out our events page for all the details. We look forward to seeing you there!
Wherstead Park Events & Conferencing closure – website Q&A
1. What happens to my event booking this year?
If you have already booked an event with us between now and 1st January 2024, your booking will of course be going ahead as planned. This includes weddings, conferences, meeting room hire and private parties.
We can't wait to welcome you to Wherstead Park.
As always, our event team are dedicated to delivering the best event for you and we will be on hand to answer any specific queries about your booking.
2. What if I booked an event for 2024? Will I get my deposit back?
Sadly, we’re unable to commit to any events from 1st January 2024 onward.
Our team will have notified you personally via email or phone.
All deposits for 2024 bookings will be refunded in full as per our contract and refund policy.
Please speak with your event manager who will advise on the next steps, contact any pre-booked vendors and arrange any refunds on your booking.
3. Can I still book an event this year or can I bring my 2024 event forward?
Absolutely!
Our booking diary is still open from now until the end of December 2023 for all types of events or venue hire.
Please speak to our events team and we can look to make your dream event a reality.
Please note that we currently have limited availability for weekend weddings this year. If you are looking to book a wedding with us, please speak to our team about availability as soon as possible.
4. Are your school prom parties still going ahead?
Yes, our school prom parties are still going ahead as planned this summer.
We look forward to welcoming school students and teachers to Wherstead Park this year for Whersteadbury 2023!
As we’re unable to commit to prom parties for 2024, schools will need to find an alternative venue next year.
5. I have booked tickets for a public event at Wherstead Park this year. Will it definitely be going ahead?
Yes, all our public events will be going ahead as advertised and we look forward to welcoming the community to Wherstead Park!
We have a packed programme of events lined up for the rest of the year including our Summer in The Park events (Opera, Wimbledon, Theatre, Movies, Market), our famous Christmas Shopping Event and our Christmas Party Nights.
All tickets are still valid, and tickets are available to book via our events page.
6. I have/would like to book a trade stand at one of your upcoming Markets, will it still be going ahead?
Yes, our Summer Market and our famous Christmas Shopping Event are still going ahead as planned and your booking will remain as normal.
We are now taking final bookings for trade stand space at our Christmas Shopping Event in November, please contact the events team to secure your space.
7. What if you don’t have enough staff to run events as planned?
We can assure all visitors that we have robust procedures in place to ensure all events will run smoothly, just as planned. You will continue to be supported by a dedicated event manager, who will ensure that your event is delivered to the highest standard as you’d usually expect.
8. What if Wherstead Park closes earlier than the proposed plan?
Wherstead Park will close no sooner than 31st December 2023.
We are committed to delivering our programme of public events and honouring all 2023 bookings as planned.
9. Can I cancel my 2023 event, will I get a refund?
You have the right to cancel your pre-booked event for 2023 if it is within the specified notice of the event date, as per your booking/venue hire contract terms. Please speak to your event manager who will be able to advise on specific bookings
