Whilst many events are just a few hours long, there is the culmination of weeks or even months of meticulous planning and preparations to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. From consultations, bookings, briefing lighting and sound technicians, catering, to decorations and overseeing seating arrangements. It’s safe to say no two days are the same for our Events Team, and we almost always expect the unexpected!
This rings true when reflecting on a recent hectic week where we delivered an array of events.
We supported the Quilters Guild for three days, with a jam packed agenda bursting with workshops, demonstrations, talks, keynote speakers, fundraising, exhibitions and an AGM.
We hosted a Social Supper Friday, prepared three days of pre-ordered lunch bags, and Crumb & Brew served up delicious coffee from their van in our marquee.
We rounded off our busy week with a Gala dinner in our Atrium on Saturday night and supported Ultra Events with a white collar charity boxing event on Sunday night, where our bar staff did a fabulous job ensuring the drinks were flowing for 400 guests.
